Yes, we know that working in a plastics manufacturing facility doesn’t sound particularly appealing, but as they say, “don’t judge a book by its cover”.
Perspective changes everything
It might seem unexpected, but unlike many other places in the plastics industry, the employees at Rion enjoy working in an air-conditioned production hall. Furthermore, this year we finished implementing a computerized system on the production floor, which provides employees with a technology rich environment. It makes the status of the production floor accessible at any given moment on a tablet or mobile phone and enables efficient and faster operations.
We believe in automation, so you will find quite a few robots on the production floor performing the routine and simple work. This frees up the operators for tasks that require greater responsibility – such as quality control, complementary services, and handling malfunctions in production.
The plant is located in Kibbutz Cabri, which is nestled in a green and pastoral landscape. Tables on the lawn in the plant’s courtyard allow for a coffee break in a relaxed atmosphere. A dining hall is available to employees, providing hot, rich lunches at a subsidized price. In terms of accessibility, we operate a shuttle system from nearby cities, such as Nahariya and Acre, making the commute to us easy and convenient.
Opportunities for Promotion and Personal Development
We believe in promoting and nurturing our people. At Rion, we invest in training for our employees – from operators in the production hall to the management level. Professional training is done in collaboration with Erez College and includes courses in injection molding, quality control, reading technical drawings, and even technical language courses for new immigrants joining the company.
But internal promotion and training processes are also happening all the time. When we identify professional and responsible employees, we look for ways to help them advance to more challenging roles with greater responsibility. For example, most of our setup technicians started as machine operators and production workers who advanced to this role after extensive and lengthy internal training.

The Financial Aspect
We offer private health insurance to employees and their children after one year of employment. Additionally, shift workers receive 117% of their hourly wage starting from the first hour of the afternoon shift, and 140% of their hourly wage starting from the first hour of the night shift. In specific cases, we also provide loans on favorable terms from the workplace to our employees who need them.
