Their Journey at Rion: How Our Approach to Employee Growth Ensures Excellencet

December 11, 2025

Their success is our path to a high-quality product and operational excellence. These are the stories of Igor and Leonid, who started in the Fusion Department and advanced to key roles in the Quality Control Department

What do a production worker, a quality inspector, and a manager in the Quality Control Department have in common? At Rion, it is often the same person at different stages of their career. The path taken by many of the company’s employees shows that human capital is one of our greatest strengths – and it is also what makes Rion the preferred partner for dozens of companies in the industry.

Ultimately, no machine – not even the most automated and advanced one – can replace judgment, responsibility, and professionalism. That is why we view investment in training, professional mentoring, and the retention of experienced employees as an inseparable part of the product value the customer receives.

A prime example of this can be found with Igor Zolnikov and Leonid Sedov, two employees from the Quality Control Department who made the same journey from the bottom up, each in his own way.

Diamonds Are Found on the Production Floor

The Quality Control Department at Rion is a central junction of all our activities. It must control everything about the product – from receiving orders, through rigorous inspections during production, to the release of goods. For the system to function, a team of quality inspectors patrols round-the-clock on the production floor, while another team of auditors ensures the company meets strict standards.

The person orchestrating all of this is Mazal Rosillio, who has been the Quality Department Manager for over a decade and works closely with Igor and Leonid. Her approach to team building is clear: “Whoever persists, proves themselves, and has patience – has the opportunity for promotion at Rion”, she explains. “In my department, most of the quality auditors, including Leonid Sedov, started their journey on the production floor and have been with the company for years. They understand the processes, the technology, and the operations down to the smallest detail. This allows us as a company to reach a level of quality that is rare in the industry”.

The Younger Generation on the Rise

One of those who stood out from the very beginning of his journey at Rion is Igor Zolnikov, who joined the Fusion Department in 2021. “Igor has been working at Rion for about four years, and he made the journey from the Fusion Department to the quality inspectors team”, Mazal testifies. “He is a quick learner and takes on tasks far beyond his job description”.

Igor, for his part, grabs every opportunity with both hands: “I try to help wherever I can – on the production floor, in the laboratory, and in mentoring new employees”, says Igor, adding about his path in the company: “I graduated with honors from an ICQE certification course for quality engineers, and I passed all the relevant exams”. In recent months, Igor has been working closely with an engineer from Plastokit – one of our companies – who is teaching him to build programs and work with an advanced Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Soon, he will officially join Rion’s Quality Control Department, a promotion that puts an official stamp on his achievements. We wish him the best of luck.

When a Temporary Job Becomes Home

While Igor represents the younger generation surging forward, Leonid is one of the company’s veterans. This past February, Leonid marked 25 years with us. He arrived as a 25-year-old looking for temporary work and stayed to build a career. “I thought it was just a stop along the way”, Leonid smiles. “In the end, I worked for five years in the Fusion Department and another twenty years in the Quality Control Department. I worked as a quality inspector, went out to study, took courses in quality control and engineering, and today I am the Team Leader of the Mechanical division of the department”.

In his current role, Leonid serves as the professional authority dealing with many significant clients, and he and his team work with BERMAD, maytronics, Galcon, Arad Group, N-Drip, MotoRad, and Albaad. “It’s a role that never gets boring”, he shares. “You have to keep your finger on the pulse regarding every detail. Over the years, we’ve built excellent relationships with our long-time partners, like BERMAD, and now I am trying to apply the knowledge and experience we’ve gained with new customers”.

Leonid’s vast experience makes him a true asset to the department: “Leonid maintains exemplary order in his work. He is very meticulous and exercises judgment in all matters”, notes Mazal. Beyond that, Leonid chooses to pass his knowledge on, as a way of closing the cycle: “I teach new people in the department – giving them the confidence and ambition needed – so they know they have room to advance. You shouldn’t be ashamed to ask for a promotion. If you have a good head on your shoulders and are proactive, you will get the support”.

The Key to Success: Investing in People

The stories of Igor and Leonid are another link in the chain of nurturing human capital at Rion. We invest significant resources in this area, with an emphasis on external and internal professional training for all employees – from production workers to management. Within this framework, we collaborate with institutions such as Erez College and train employees in a variety of courses and certifications, including courses for quality auditors, quality inspectors, warehouse management, and management skills.

Alongside this, we lead a distinct policy of internal promotion. In practice, over 50% of the professional and managerial positions in the company are filled by employees who grew, trained, and advanced from within the organization. It is a source of pride to provide service to clients with such a professional team.
